This is one of the most asked questions at Government Briefings on coronavirus. Ministers acknowledge that they do not know the answer but they are adamant that it WILL end, although they cannot give a date.

We could ask a similar question about planet earth: ‘Will it go on for ever?’ Only God knows the answer and He tells us in His Word (the Bible) that one day it WILL end: the heavens will be dissolved, being on fire, and the elements will melt with a fervent heat 2 Peter chapter 3 verse 12. Jesus said, Heaven and earth will pass away Matthew chapter 24 verse 35.

Christians believe that God will judge the world for its rejection of Him, His Son (Jesus Christ) and His Word. They do not know precisely when this will be; nevertheless, they have a certain hope that through trusting in Jesus, who died to save them from their sin, they have been delivered from the wrath to come 1 Thessalonians chapter 1 verse 10.
