True Courage!

Nelson Mandela reaffirmed what many leaders have discovered: that courage is not the absence of fear, but the triumph over it. These days fears are multiplying like the virus that feeds them. If our fears lead us to caution and carefulness, to cleanliness and courteous distancing, to compassion and concern for others, then our fears have been profitable and helpful. If they lead us to frustration, despair, social versus physical distancing, isolation and introspection, then these fears have become destructive.

Instead of looking inward, let’s take a healthy look outward and upward – out to the needs of others even around the world to those who are so hurting so very much more than we are, and then look upward to the source of hope.

The Bible says, “For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is (God’s) love for those who fear Him” Psalm 103 verse 11.
