It has been stated many times, since the Government’s Plan to release the nation from lockdown was unveiled, that the Prime Minister was seeking to achieve the impossible. It has become abundantly evident that such a conclusion is justified. Complex issues have to be addressed, and solved, that go beyond the limits of human reasoning. Questions are asked and left unanswered, because no one can be certain about what the future holds.
However, in stark contrast, listen to the words of Jesus in the Bible: ‘with God all things are possible’ Mark chapter 10 verse 27. On another occasion He said, ‘The things which are impossible with men are possible with God’, Luke chapter 18 verse 27.
Naturally speaking, it is impossible for us to be reconciled to God – our sin has separated us from Him, eternally. Nevertheless, God has made the impossible become possible by sending His only Son, Jesus Christ, to be our Saviour: ‘For Christ also suffered once for sins, the just for the unjust, that He might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh but made alive by the Spirit’ 1 Peter chapter 3 verse 18.
