We have been bombarded with statistics as the Government informs us about its progress in dealing with coronavirus. Statistics can be presented simply to justify, rather than inform, our actions; therefore, they can quickly turn into untruths! The ‘mathematics’ of the Bible never distorts the truth:

‘For ALL have sinned and fall short of the glory of God’ Romans chapter 3 verse 23.

‘Man who is born of woman is of FEW days and full of trouble’ Job ch 14 verse 1.

‘. . . wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction and there are MANY that go in by it . . . narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life and there are FEW who find it’ Matthew chapter 7 verses 13-14.

‘For there is ONE God and ONE Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus’ 1 Timothy chapter 2 verse 5.

‘For Christ also suffered ONCE for sin, the just for the unjust, that He might bring us to God’ 1 Peter chapter 3 verse 18.

‘And as it is appointed for men to die ONCE . . . so Christ was offered ONCE to bear the sins of MANY’ Hebrews chapter 9 verses 27-28.
