Today in the USA, millions will make their choice of a new president. For months they have heard the candidates’ promises and boasts and now they decide, they choose.

‘You choose’ is what Joshua, a Bible leader, said to his nation centuries ago:  “Now therefore, fear the Lord, serve Him in sincerity and in truth, and put away the gods which your fathers served … Serve the Lord! And if it seems evil to you to serve the Lord, choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve …”

‘You choose’. Would it be the false gods or the one and only true God in heaven who had been so faithful to them. Joshua knew Who he would choose: “But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.” Joshua chapter 24 verses 14-15.

What is your choice as you think of God’s sternal love and salvation? Will you ‘Choose Life’? Deuteronomy chapter 30 verse 19. What is the alternative? Death and despair.
