Although many believe democracy is the best form of government, recent events throughout the world suggest it is facing a crisis. This website is not a political platform; however, maybe this is an opportune moment to focus on God’s plan for government.

When God created the heaven and the earth, He decreed that Man (Adam) should have dominion. David wrote: ‘For You have made him (Adam) a little lower than the angels, and You have crowned him with glory and honour. You have made him to have dominion over the works of Your hands; You have put all things under his feet’, Psalm 8 verses 5-6. God’s desire, therefore, is ONE-MAN RULE. Sadly, Adam sinned and forfeited this dominion.

However, God’s promise of a coming King runs like a golden thread throughout the Bible:
‘Behold, the Man . . . He shall bear the glory, and shall sit and rule on His throne’, Zechariah 6 verse 13.
‘And behold you (Mary) will conceive in your womb and bring forth a Son, and shall call His name JESUS. He will be great, and will be called the Son of the Highest, and the Lord will give Him the throne of His father David. And He will reign over the house of Jacob forever and of His kingdom there shall be no end’, Luke chapter 1 verses 31-33.
Tragically, when the King came, the people cried, ‘Away with Him, away with him! Crucify Him . . . we have no king but Caesar’, John chapter 19 verse 15.

BUT GOD’S PURPOSES WILL COME TO PASS! ‘ Now I saw heaven opened and behold a white horse. And He who sat on him was called Faithful and True . . . And He has on His robe and on His thigh a name written: KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS’, Revelation chapter 19 verses 11-16.
