Thank You!

We know that many of the faithful readership of this website are from the USA. We are grateful to you for the interest that you have shown. You have visited us in your hundreds each week during 2020. We understand that this is a special week for you. Along with others, in various parts of the world, you celebrate THANKSGIVING DAY, when you express your thanks for the harvest and other blessings of the past year. We trust that you will have an enjoyable time as you gather together.

We hope you will not object if we use the occasion as an opportunity to invite all of our readers from across the world to express their thanks to God for His goodness towards us. It takes a great deal of time and patience to teach young children the importance of those two simple words – THANK YOU. How often do we say them to God? One of the Psalmists wrote on four occasions, in the same psalm: ‘Oh that men would give thanks to the LORD for His goodness, and for His wonderful works to the children of men’, Psalm 107 verses 8,15,21,31. You can read Psalm 107 in full tomorrow on this page.

The greatest gift of all that God has given to us is His Son, the Lord Jesus, to be our Saviour: ‘The Father has sent the Son as Saviour of the world’, 1 John chapter 4 verse 12. After His birth, when Mary and Joseph brought Him into the Temple in Jerusalem, Anna, an elderly widow, came in at the same time, When she saw Jesus, her first response was to GIVE THANKS TO THE LORD, Luke chapter 2 verse 38. A Samaritan leper, who was healed by Jesus, ‘fell down on his face at His feet, GIVING HIM THANKS’, Luke chapter 27 verse 16.

As our friends in the USA give thanks this week, may each one of us join together and say, ‘THANKS BE TO GOD FOR HIS INDESCRIBABLE GIFT’, 2 Corinthians chapter 9 verse 15.

Have you never said ‘Thank you’ to the Lord Jesus for giving Himself to be your Saviour? Read more in the Bible. Please contact us and we will gladly send you a Bible. We will pray for you. Come back again for another Message of Hope.
