A white Easter was forecast in the UK recently implying the return of snow. Some will be pleased, others not! Snow can be very beautiful when it first falls and lays unspoilt; it can be dazzling too in the sunshine and blinding.
God once had a message for His people: “Come now, and let us reason together,” says the Lord, “Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red like crimson, they shall be as wool” Isaiah chapter 1 verse 18. As we all know too well, sin stains us and spoils us, it cannot be hid; we make excuses about it but as the Bible says,
‘‘For there is no difference; for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God’’ Romans chapter 3 verses 22-23.
And yet God remarkably invites us “Come now, and let us reason together,” says the Lord, “Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow …’’ David, knowing his sin, once prayed “Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean; wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow’’ Psalm 51 verse 7.
Whiter than snow? But how is that possible with a holy God? Thank God such cleansing is through Jesus Christ alone for ‘‘the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin’’ 1 John chapter 1 verse 7.
We do pray these messages will bring you to know the salvation alone found in Christ. We will gladly send you a Bible and help answer any questions you may have. We will pray for you. Come back again for another Message of Hope.
