Did you read it?

Read what you may ask? Did you read the Hope4Bath article yesterday? If not, please scroll back and read the wonderful passage from Mark’s Gospel concerning Jesus, the Son of God.

It is remarkable all that Jesus did, the places He visited, the people He met. The Gospels tell us of different times when Jesus met lepers, some were on their own, others in a group. In the reading yesterday, one solitary leper dared to approach Jesus. A leper coming to Jesus?

He was very respectful ‘Now a leper came to Him, imploring Him, kneeling down to Him’. He had a simple but life changing request ‘If You are willing, You can make me clean’.

The leper was entirely at the mercy of Jesus. How would such a great and glorious person like Jesus react? More than people could expect for ‘Then Jesus, moved with compassion, stretched out His hand and touched him, and said to him, “I am willing; be cleansed’.

What words compassion … touched Him … I am willing … be cleansed …

This is the heart of the Lord Jesus Christ: compassion, caring, loving, blessing. Do you know you matter to Him? He wants the best for you? He wants you to know true and lasting cleansing from sin and forgiveness.

Hear the words of Jesus to you ‘I am willing’. But what do you say?
