We often say about a good thing that happens, ‘It was well worth the wait!’ Let us listen to what God tells us about things that are WORTH WAITING FOR.

• Paul wrote, ‘But as it is written: Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor have entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him’, 1 Corinthians chapter 2 verse 9.
• David wrote, ‘For evildoers shall be cut off; but those who wait on the Lord, they shall inherit the earth’, Psalm 37 verse 9. What an inheritance to look forward to!
• ‘So Christ was offered ONCE to bear the sins of many. To those who eagerly wait for Him, He will appear a second time, apart from sin, for salvation’, Hebrews chapter 9 verse 28. Are you eagerly waiting for the second time, when Christ will come for a different reason from the first time, i.e. to take all who have trusted him as their Saviour to be with Him in heaven?
• ‘Beloved, now we are children of God, and it has not yet been revealed what we shall be, but we know that when He is revealed, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is’, 1 John chapter 3 verse 2.

When God created man, He said, ‘Let us make man in our image, according to our likeness’, Genesis chapter 1 verse 26. God’s intention was to create beings like Himself. Sadly, Adam lost this, when he disobeyed God and sin came into the world. However, God’s plan now is to populate heaven with people who have trusted His Son Jesus Christ as Saviour. They will be physically and morally like Him! It will be well WORTH WAITING FOR!
