“Be still”
With all the uncertainty of today, all the worries, even the joys of today … “Be still”
How often we resist stillness to keep busy, to shut out our fears and keep from facing reality but the verse for today is “Be still, and know that I am God” Psalm 46 verse 10.
“Be still, and know that I am God” there is One who is God, He is real, He is All Powerful, All Knowing, All Present.
More than that “Be still, and know that I am God” we have a God Who wants to be known.
The writer of our Bible verse is so confident about God that he writes: “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear” Psalm 46 verses 1-2.
- Do you need help today? “Be still, and know that I am God”
- Do you need support today? “Be still, and know that I am God”
- Do you need not to be afraid? “Be still, and know that I am God”
“Do not be afraid. Stand still, and see the salvation of the Lord, which He will accomplish for you today” Exodus chapter 14 verse 13.
“Sit still, my daughter, until you know how the matter will turn out; for the man will not rest until he has concluded the matter this day” Ruth chapter 3 verse 18.
Be still, my soul, thy God doth undertake to guide the future as He has the past
Thy hope, thy confidence let nothing shake all now mysterious shall be bright at last
Be still, my soul, the waves and winds still know
His voice who ruled them while He dwelt below
Happy Monday! “Be still!”
