Thought For The Day

Let not your Thought For The Dayheart be troubled …” John chapter 14 verse1.

With so many worries today, how can we not be troubled, anxious, worried? It nust be irresponsible to not be concerned? We cannot ignore these matters as they concer our families, our selves, our future.

Jesus knew His disciples were worried about the future without Him and to reassure them He said

Let not your heart be troubled you believe in God, believe also in Me”. He would be the help they needed, but they needed to trust Him “you believe in God, believe also in Me”. For the Christian this is the help that is needed and if you are not a Christian through Christ, you can know One who understands and supports you.

The Bible does not promise to take away the problems we all have but it does promise One who will help us through them.

Concerning this thing (called a thorn in the flesh v7) I pleaded with the Lord three times that it might depart from me. And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in needs, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ’s sake. For when I am weak, then I am strong” 2 Corinthians chapter 12 verses 8-10.

My grace is sufficient (or enough) for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.

Before the throne of God above I have a strong and perfect plea
A great High Priest, whose name is Love Who ever lives and pleads for me.

When Satan tempts me to despair and tells me of the guilt within
Upward I look, and see Him there Who made an end to all my sin.

Happy Monday!
