Hebrews chapter 10 verse 17
Last week nations and millions have REMEMBERED the many who have lost their lives in wars and conflicts to protect our freedom and liberty. We do well to remember such and to value the lives we have.
Interestingly the Bible verse today reminds us that GOD REMEMBERS TOO.
God does not say “Their sins and their lawless deeds I will remember” and He does know everything about us, we cannot hide from His all-seeing eye. Read Psalm 139.
Instead, God says “Their sins and their lawless deeds I will REMEMBER NO MORE”.
All the wrongs, sins, mistakes of our life God will REMEMBER NO MORE because His Son has paid the price that we might be spared the judgement of God.
“But this Man, (Jesus) after He had offered one sacrifice for sins forever, sat down at the right hand of God, from that time waiting till His enemies are made His footstool. 14 For by one offering He has perfected forever those who are being sanctified” Hebrews chapter 10 verses 12-14.
Faith is our key to secure this eternal blessing of salvation. Christ paid the price through His one sacrifice; faith in Christ brings us peace with God and forgiveness of every sin.
“Therefore let it be known to you, brethren, that through this Man (Jesus) is preached to you the forgiveness of sins; and by Him everyone who believes is justified from all things from which you could not be justified by the law of Moses” Acts chapter 13 verses 38-39.
