Behold, A White Horse (1)

During the course of the recent pandemic many believed that, once it was over, the world would have changed for the better. We now know from events that followed, that nothing would be further from the truth! Although there have been some beneficial changes in society, the hearts of men and women have remained as they were and any changes are, at best, short-lived.

It is encouraging to look ahead to the time, when the entire character of the world will change for the better. This will come during the time that Christ rules on the earth for 1,000 years (known as The Millennium).

THE PURPOSE OF CHRIST’S RETURN TO REIGN

  • To judge the wickedness of the world.
  • To vindicate and glorify Him in the world that rejected Him.
  • To show that God has the Man, who can rule – all others have failed.
  • To fulfil God’s promises to Abraham, David & their descendants.
  • To reveal the depravity of people’s hearts – at the end of Christ’s idyllic rule, they will rebel against God & follow Satan.

  • JESUS CHRIST, Rev1.5
  • SON OF MAN, Matt 25.13
  • THE SUN OF RIGHTEOUSNESS, Mal 4.2

THE POPULATION WHEN CHRIST REIGNS

  • At the commencement of Christ’s millennial reign, only those who are saved through faith in Jesus Christ, will populate His Millennial Kingdom.
  • Regathered Israel – a multitude of saved Jews, including the 144,000 who were sealed before the Tribulation period began, Rev 7.4.
  • Gentiles – a multitude of Gentiles saved during the Tribulation period, Rev 7.9
  • the ‘sheep’ of Matthew 25 – the saved of the nations, who showed compassion to Israel during the Tribulation period, Matthew 25.33-41
