Verse For The Day

“Bless me—me also, O my father!” Genesis chapter 27 verse 34

These are words spoken by Esau to his father Jacob. “Bless me—me also, O my father!”

Sadly, in a family dispute, Esau’s brother had tricked him and robbed him of his father’s blessing.  Jacob told Esau the sad news “Your brother came with deceit and has taken away your blessing.”

Today, we thank God that whatever happens to us in our families, or in our personal lives, nothing, NOTHING CAN ROB US OF GOD’S BLESSINGS.

“Bless the Lord, O my soul; and all that is within me, bless His holy name!
Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits:
Who forgives all your iniquities, Who heals all your diseases…
The Lord is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in mercy.
He will not always strive with us, nor will He keep His anger forever.
10 He has not dealt with us according to our sins, nor punished us according to our iniquities.

11 For as the heavens are high above the earth, so great is His mercy toward those who fear Him;
12 As far as the east is from the west, so far has He removed our transgressions from us.
13 As a father pities his children, so the Lord pities those who fear Him.
14 For He knows our frame; He remembers that we are dust…

22 Bless the Lord, all His works, in all places of His dominion.  Bless the Lord, O my soul!”

Psalm 103.

“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved” John chapter 3 verses 16-17.

“In this the love of God was manifested toward us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him. In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins” 1 John chapter 4 verses 9-10.

Count your blessings, name them one by one

And it will surprise you what the Lord has done!

Happy Monday!
