Thought For The Day

God says “Their sins and their lawless deeds I will remember no more” Hebrews chapter 10 verse 17.

How good is your memory? Often, we wish it was better but at other times wished we could forget certain things. Do you realise God never forgets anything; forgetfulness is a human weakness and so God never forgets. How that troubles us to realise God will forever remember everything about us, particularly our faults and failings.

Amazingly though the Bible tells us in our verse today that when we know Jesus Christ as our Saviour God “remembers no more” all our faults, our sins. God does not forget our sins and then remembers them another time; instead, God blots them out, He removes them as if they never existed.

I have blotted out, like a thick cloud, your transgressions, and like a cloud, your sins. Return to Me, for I have redeemed you. Sing, O heavens, for the Lord has done it! Shout, you lower parts of the earth” Isaiah chapter 44 verses 22-23.

God has blotted them out, I’m happy and glad and free;
God has blotted them out, I’ll turn to Isaiah and see:
Chapter 44, twenty two and three;
He’s blotted them out, so now I can shout, for that means me.

Happy Monday!
