I know that there have been at least two occasions in my life, when I have brought joy to others. The first occasion was when I was born in 1944. Shortly beforehand, my mother was informed that she was to have twins; the news was, indeed, a great surprise! Nevertheless, I know that the birth of twin boys brought great joy to our parents.

The second occasion was when I was ‘born again’. Jesus said, ‘Unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God’, John chapter 3 verse 3. Therefore, at the age of 15, I realised that I was a sinner, turned in repentance toward God and trusted the Lord Jesus Christ, who died to save me. Remarkably, on that day, I brought JOY to heaven. Again, Jesus said, ‘There is JOY in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents’, Luke chapter 15 verse 10. What a possibility! You could bring joy to heaven today by exercising ‘repentance toward God and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ’, Acts chapter 20 verse 21; indeed, you can be ‘born again’!
