The Bible pictures us as sheep that have ‘gone astray’, and as those who ‘have turned, every one, to his own way’, Isaiah chapter 53 verse 6. Conversely, the Lord Jesus is viewed as the Good Shepherd, who came that the sheep ‘may have life, and that they might have it more abundantly’, John chapter 10 verse 10. However, the cost to achieve this was immense! He died on the cross that we might have life! He said:

‘I am the Good Shepherd. The Good shepherd GIVES HIS LIFE for the sheep’, John chapter 10 verse 11.

‘I LAY DOWN MY LIFE for the sheep’, John chapter 10 verse 15.

‘Therefore, My Father loves Me, because I LAY DOWN MY LIFE that I may take it again’, John chapter 10 verse 17

‘Greater love has no one than this, than to LAY DOWN ONE’S LIFE for his friends’, John chapter 15 verse 13.

Salvation costs us nothing BUT it cost Him everything! You can pass from death to life today through faith in Him.
